Maxine Bainbridge

Maxine Bainbridge, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 230 Buysman Way, Grants Pass, Oregon with Pastor Steven Sparley officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Maxine was born on August 10, 1926 in Marshfield, Missouri to Herman & Grace Ross. She had two sisters and five brothers. In 1953 she married Harry Bainbridge and in 1956 she gave birth to her only child, Lorelei. They lived in San Jose until 1994 when Harry passed away. Maxine moved to Oroville, California to be closer to her sisters and brothers. In 2003 she moved to Grants Pass to be near her daughter and grandsons, Christopher and Nathan Wojcik.

Maxine attended Our Savior Lutheran Church and cared for the elderly until she was 85 years old and often visited shut-ins.

She loved golfing and regularly golfed with her Pastor and the Church organist until she was 84 years old. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Lorelei Bainbridge Wojcik and husband Stan of Grants Pass; two brothers, Wilse Ross of Grass Valley, California and Willard Ross of Lewisville, Texas and two grandsons.

Preceding her in death was two sisters and three brothers.
