Mason Keene came into this world on August 13, 2004 and left this earth on January 14, 2021, at the age of 16, surrounded by close family and friends.
Born in Aberdeen, Washington, Mason moved to Grants Pass when he was two years old. He attended Gilbert Creek, Madrona, Lincoln Savage, and Hidden Valley High School.
Mason was adopted by North Valley Sparrow Club, the Active Club of Grants Pass for Christmas. In September of 2019 Mason and his family enjoyed a trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios through the Make a Wish Foundation. Mason's loving spirit touched countless lives in his 16 years.
Who would have thought just a few months of you being in this world that God would reveal a new plan for you. Tears that would lead to a waterfall with every challenge. You remained strong, a fighter, a survivor and an inspiring ray of sunshine. All with no complaints and nothing but smiles.
Mason is survived by his mother Sarah Keene and father figure Dean Buckle, brothers and sisters, Kailand, Tava, Skylah, Dayton, Zayne and Sylas Buckle. Grandpa Ezra Joel Buckle, Grandma Pauline Keene Julie Beavers, Uncles Kevin Keene and Lester Keene. Aunts Sheila Field and Virginia Keene.
Mason had several other aunties close and dear to him, Reanna Jennings, Stephanie Clem, Monica Cuchiara, Brittney Warren, and Heather Buckle (who also helped care for Mason for four years.)
Mason touched the hearts of all who knew and met him. Though he has left his earthly body, he will walk with us always.
