Mary Trevett, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Mary was born May 29, 1926 in Madisonville, Kentucky to Dempsey & Louise Howell. In 1942 she moved to Bisbee, Arizona to be near family. In 1945 in Bisbee, she married Roy Owens and they had two children, a son, Roy “Wayne” Owens and a daughter, Sandra Louise Owens. In 1954 the family moved to Wilmington, California and in 1956 her husband, Roy died. In 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada she married Jack Trevett. Mary Worked for TRW Semiconductors in Lawndale, California for eight years. In 1968 she moved to Grants Pass and was a homemaker.
Mary was a member of Calvary Church.
She loved bowling, crocheting, and gardening. She loved her flowers, especially roses and daffodils. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and doing things for them.
She is survived by her son Wayne Owens of Grants Pass, Oregon; a stepson, Al Trevett of Walnut, California, a stepdaughter, Karen Simon of Maui, Hawaii; a grandson, Mike Johnson; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Jack Trevett on July 3, 2008; a daughter, Sandra Louise Owens on October 16, 2007; a stepson, Jack Trevett Jr and a step-great-grandson, Jeff Trevett both in 1995; two sisters, Kathryn Diffie and Mildred Howell and a brother, Bob Howell.
