Mary Lee Sharp

Mary Lee Sharp born October 24, 1933, passed away peacefully January 23, 2024, at the age of 90. 

Mary was born in Idaho and was one of five children who spent their childhood growing up on a farm. 

When she was 20, she met Wally, her lifelong love. They were married March 25, 1955. Mary was a stay-at-home mother to their four daughters. Mary and Wally, both devout Christians, opened their first Ministry home known as the ‘A Street House’ in 1975. There, Mary met all kinds of people from different backgrounds and shared the Gospel with them. In 1983, they moved to Guatemala, where they started two orphanages and a school. During their time there, they adopted four children, three daughters and a son. 

Mary was preceded in death by their daughter, Jo. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Wally, seven children, their spouses, 33 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at Shan Creek Community Church, 6101 Riverbanks Rd, Grants Pass, OR 97527. March 16, 2024, at 11:00 am.
