Mary Belle Legler

Mary Belle Legler, 86, of Merlin, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at her home.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 23, 2007 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 23, 1920 in Tustin, California. In 1957 she moved from Long Beach, California to Grants Pass where she worked at the Josephine County Assessor’s office, retiring in 1983. In February 1958 she married Milburn Legler, who preceded her in death.

She volunteered her time with the Southern Oregon Medical Center auxiliary for many years. She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary.

She enjoyed time with her family, camping, crafts, and bingo.

Survivors include three children, Jim Russell of Grants Pass, Gail Vinyard of Merlin, and Fred Legler of Massachusetts; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Drumwright of Grants Pass; and many nieces and nephews.
