Martin Russell “Marty” Jaramillo, age 45, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at his cousin’s home in Grants Pass.
Family services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Marty was born May 30, 1962 in San Fernando, California to Joe & Karen Jaramillo. In 1971 his family moved from Newhall, California to Grants Pass. He was a graduate of Grants Pass High School, class of 1980. Growing up in Grants Pass, he was active in athletics where he participated in track as a pole vaulter and in running events; in football as a quarterback; and in baseball as a pitcher in both Little League and Babe Ruth. From 1982 to 1990 he worked as a drywaller for Dave Warner Drywall and for Larry Crisel. In 1990 he started Jaramillo Drywall and medically retired earlier this year.
He was a member of the Grants Pass Elks Lodge.
Marty was an avid golfer and was known to be competitive. His other hobbies included river fishing, mostly for steelhead; bowhunting; snowmobiling; and participating in a city league slow-pitch softball team as a pitcher.
Survivors include two daughters, Ashley Jaramillo and Alexa Jaramillo both of Grants Pass; a granddaughter, Sienna Brissette of Grants Pass; his parents, Joe & Karen Jaramillo of Grants Pass; twin sisters, Susie Jaramillo of Springfield and Margie Hartman of Grants Pass; and his grandmother, Susie Zamora of Hesperia, California.
