Martin Edward Green

Martin E. Green, age 52, of Cave Junction, died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at his home.

A memorial graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Martin was born July 28, 1959 in Sacramento, California. He was raised in Rio Linda, California where he graduated from Rio Linda High School in 1977. In 1981 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for ten years. On March 23, 1989 in Reno, Nevada he married Lorenza Melendez. Together with his wife, he moved from Florida to Cave Junction, Oregon in 2000. While living in Cave Junction he worked for Crystal Fresh Water Company for two years and the Key Man in Grants Pass for 1 years.

Martin was a member of the American Legion for several years. He was 100% disabled from the military.

His hobbies include computers, model car collecting, hiking, spending time in the outdoors, long drives, traveling Europe and the USA, motorcycle riding, and Native American affairs including pow wows.

In addition to his wife, Lorenza Melendez-Green of Cave Junction, Oregon; Martin is survived by two daughters, Eldora Jimenez of Maine and Francesca Gulick of Troy, Montana; a son, Damien Gulick of Grants Pass, Oregon; his father, Charles Green of Rio Linda, California; a sister, Becky Lagge of Rio Linda, California; and two brothers, Chuck Mackarness of Ventura, California and Andrew Mackarness of Rio Linda, California.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Candance Green.
