Martha Fichmann

Martha Fichmann, age 79, of Brookings, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Grants Pass.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Eagle Point National Cemetery with Deacon Bob Chapin officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service in Brookings is pending.

Martha was born October 15, 1934 in Vienna, Austria. She grew up and attended schools in Vienna and in 1952 at the age of 18 she moved from Vienna to the United States. She married Emil Fichman 43 years ago. In 1963 she moved to California where she lived until moving to Brookings, Oregon in 2007. She had just recently been living in Grants Pass.

Martha attended the Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge #1934 both in Brookings.

Her hobbies included her dogs, reading, cooking, and walking.

Survivors include her husband, Emil Fichmann of Brookings, Oregon; a son, John Pospishil of Redding, California; two sisters, Trudy of Monterey, California and Ava of Sydney, Australia; a brother, Helmut Dusek of Vienna, Austria; and a granddaughter, McKenzie Pospishil of Chico, California.
