Mark Allen Williamson, age 62, of Grants Pass, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at First Christian Church with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Mark was born July 17, 1950 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Raymon & Margaret (Baker) Williamson. In 1969 he graduated from Encinal High School in Alameda, California. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a military policeman, one tour in Vietnam, Stateside at the Presidio, then to Hanau, Germany. During his military service he met and married Karen Sargent. After a divorce, he later married Delores E. Hall. In August 1985 he was honorably discharged and moved from his duty station at Hanau, Germany and his home residence at Hayward, California to Grants Pass, Oregon. He worked as a baker at the Black Forest Restaurant.
His memberships included First Christian Church and the Crystal Fresh bottled water bowling team.
Mark collected train sets and also enjoyed motorcycling, camping, bowling, and baking.
Mark is survived by six children, Wayne Hall and wife Sara of Phoenix, Oregon, Michelle Struck and husband Jeff of Eagle Point, Oregon, Michael Hall of Medford, Oregon, Paul Williamson of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Gary Williamson of Eagle Point, Oregon, and Kevin Williamson of Medford, Oregon; three sisters, Monica Williamson of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Mary L. Irving of Troy, Texas, and Ruth A. Cameron and husband Michael of Roseville, California; two brothers, Robert C. Williamson of Jacksonville, Oregon and John A. Williamson of Grants Pass, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores and his former wife, Karen.
