Marian ‘Billie’ Nugent
Marian Willadean “Billie” Nugent, 74, of Rogue River died April 30, 2007, at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rogue River Assembly of God. Southern Oregon Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Nugent was born July 31, 1932, in Indianapolis to Marion T. Martin and Nola Baker Martin. On Nov. 5, 1954, in Reno, she married Frank Nugent, who died before her. They moved their family to Rogue River in 1965 from Corona, Calif. During her 50-year nursing career, she worked 18 years at Josephine Memorial Hospital and several years at Mariola Nursing Home.
She was a member of Rogue River Assembly of God.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Nugent of Irving, Texas, and Glen Nugent of Rogue River; a brother, Marlowe Martin of Napa, Calif.; two sisters, Wanda Poynter of Plainfield, Ind., and Maureen Bozeman of Medford; a nephew she helped raise, Ed Martin of White City; and six grandchildren.
An infant daughter died before her.
