Marilou Hunt Myers

Marilou Hunt Myers, age 78, of Grants Pass, Oregon died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.

A graveside service will be at 12:00 noon, Monday, November 29, 2010 at Santa Rosa Memorial Park in Santa Rosa, California. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Marilou was born May 14, 1932 in Bakersfield, California to George & Kathryn Hunt. In 1946 she moved with her family to Santa Rosa, California and in 1989 she moved to Middletown, California. Marilou worked as a grocery clerk at Lee Brothers, Lucky’s, and Prairie Market all in Santa Rosa and Hardester’s Market in Middletown. In May 2008 she moved to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Her memberships included Retail Clerk Union #1532; Beta Sigma Phi; and Santa Rosa Rod & Gun Club. She volunteered with the Middletown, California Senior Center.

Marilou especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, working in her yard and garden, and cooking.

Survivors include three children, Bruce Myers and David Myers both of Grants Pass, Oregon and Kathryn Garren of Carlsbad, New Mexico; brother, Charles Hunt and wife Wilma; sister-in-law, Sandra Hunt; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friends, Ed & Shirley Souza.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Weerts and Dorothy Weerts and a brother, Leroy Hunt.
