Marie-Helene Soulagnet passed away on January 2, 2016 at home with her family. She resided with her daughter in Medford, Oregon.
She was born May 10, 1926, Marie-Helene Nau in Frankenberg, Germany. She met her husband Roger Soulagnet of Ozone Park who has previously passed in July, 2000 and was in the Army stationed in Marburg.

Marlena and Roger moved to Medford in 1988 to be closer to their daughter and grandchild, Andrea.
She loved fine and intricate stitchery, and had many sewing skills learned in her schooling in Germany. She had many amazing stories of her life growing up in West Germany. No matter how busy she became, her kitchen was a constant source of contentment with her excellent cooking, on par with any five star restaurant.
Survivors include her daughter, Lanore Soulagnet of Medford; son, Roger Soulagnet of Long Island, New York; granddaughters, Andrea J. Slagter of Bakersfield and Sarah H. Soulagnet of New York and two great grandchildren, Vincent and Isabell.
She will lay to rest along with her husband at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
