Marie Evaline Jackson

Marie Evaline Jackson, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home.

A memorial graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Marie was born October 11, 1921 in Bishop, Inyo County, California to Bertrand & Jessie Hargaray. On May 31, 1941 in Reno, Nevada she married Vernon L. Jackson. In 1935 she moved from California to Grants Pass. She worked for Champion Manufacturing, Redwood Motel and French Laundry.

In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and later enjoyed flower gardening. She especially loved fishing and square dancing with her husband.

Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Ellen Green of Grants Pass, Jessie Charlene Nicholls of Idaho and Charlotte Alice Deel of Kansas and a brother, Elmer Edward “Bud” Hargaray of Idaho.
