Marian Louise Cahoon, age 92 of Rogue River, OR passed away on Sunday May 4, 2014 at Royal Gardens Health & Rehabilitation center in Grants Pass, OR where she had lived for the past 9 years.
She was named Marian Louise Daniels at birth in Vallejo, CA on September 12, 1921. She married George Henry Cahoon on Feb 1, 1939 in Yuma, Arizona. They were married for 56 years and raised 4 children. During WWII Marian worked at Douglas Aircraft factory in Los Angeles, CA, as did many women of her generation. In the fifties she worked for Frito Lay & later worked for Sears in Las Vegas, NV. Her greatest professional pride was when she worked for the Medic Alert foundation in Turlock, CA, where she first volunteered and then retired from management at age 62. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, crafts and making greeting cards.
She had a great sense of humor & enjoyed a good joke now and then.
She was preceded in death by her son, George Jr. in 1991, her husband George in 1995, her son, Michael in 2004 and her granddaughter, Pam Gardner in 2010.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Wilkerson, Son Pat & his wife Bunny, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Marian was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend and she will be missed.
