Marian Leatherman

Marian Leatherman, age 77, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2007 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Pastor Stan Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.

Remembrances may be made to River Valley Community Church, 405 NE 6th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.

Marian was born September 5, 1929 in Tolleson, Arizona to Jim & Nola Elson. She was valedictorian of her graduating class from Tolleson High School. On September 4, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona she married Arvel Leatherman. For 23 years she was an audit supervisor for San Bernardino County Schools. She moved from California to Grants Pass three years ago.

Marian was a member of River Valley Community Church.

She loved history and enjoyed knitting and sewing.

In addition to her husband, Arvel Leatherman of Grants Pass; Marian is survived by two daughters, Lynn Terry of Mt Shasta, California and Lea Greenwood of Brisbane, Australia; a brother, Harold Elson of Holbrook, Arizona; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
