Margot Frieda Butler, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Grandmas Lodge Foster Care Home.
Margot was born May 8, 1925 in Germany to Herman & Frieda Vinnai. After World War II she came to the United States and married James Delphis Butler and they had six children. They later divorced. Margot worked for the United States Forest Service which she enjoyed immensely.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Sean, Todd, Jesse, Ashley and Lindsay. She also enjoyed staying in touch with her sister, Anita Resta. She loved music, gardening, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of Bayern Club in California
Margot volunteered at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.
Survivors include her children, Jeanne Fordice, Barbara Griffin, Joan Schuster, Heidi Butler, James Patrick Butler and Anita Davidson; a sister, Anita Resta and five grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her former spouse, James Delphis Butler; her parents and two brothers, Werner Vinnai and Herbert Vinnai.
