Margaret LaVerne Feetham, age 90, of Grants Pass, died February 23, 2019 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
Margaret was born May 9, 1928 in McMinnville, Oregon. In 1943 she moved from Nevada to Grants Pass and later graduated from Grants Pass High School. She worked most of her professional years as a secretary at various businesses in Grants Pass. In 1947 she married Bill Feetham and they had two children, Gary and Sherry.
Margaret’s social life revolved around her family and her church functions. She is best known for her limitless charity and her magical smile and hugs. She and her husband were known for their exemplary dancing.
Margaret and her husband spent many years after retirement traveling and building MAPS Christian facilities for children and teens in Oregon and California.
She especially enjoyed sewing.
Margaret is survived by her husband Wilbur Harry “Bill” Feetham; daughter Sherry Martin and son Gary Feetham all of Grants Pass; sisters Marilyn Watkins of Portland, Oregon and Barbara Harris of Grants Pass; brothers Harold C. Harris of Sun Beam Lake, California and Calvin B. Harris of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Frank B. Harris and her mother Grace Tepples; and brothers Erwin E. Harris, Franklin B. Harris, and Arthur M. Harris.
Remembrances may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., March 9, 2019 at Parkway Christian Center with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating. Private inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
