Margaret Irene Molvar

Margaret Irene Molvar, age 94, of Grants Pass, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Pastor Kelly Graham officiating. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn in Seattle, Washington.

Margaret was born July 4, 1914 in Bayfield, Wisconsin to Peter & Julia (Nelson) Olson. In 1932 she graduated from high school in Anacortes, Washington. On November 30, 1940 in Anacortes she married Arthur John Molvar, who preceded her in death. In 1980 she moved from Washington to Grants Pass.

Her memberships over the years included the Eastern Star in Anacortes, Washington; Children''s Orthopedic Guild and Westside Presbyterian Church both in Seattle, Washington; Josephine Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies in Grants Pass; and for many years attended Applegate Christian Fellowship in Ruch. She also enjoyed being a part of several bridge clubs, Quilt Club, Christian Women''s Club, the Caring & Sharing widow''s support group, and the YMCA where she participated in the Water Wellness program for many years.

Her many hobbies included crafts, flower arranging, reading, cooking, watching golf, her favorite baseball team, the Seattle Mariners, and movies.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Claassen of Grants Pass; three sons, Michael Molvar of Lincoln, Nebraska, John Molvar of Surprise, Arizona, and Dan Molvar of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
