Marcie Kay Warren-Tressler

September 15, 1954 — July 8, 2013

Marcie Kay Warren-Tressler passed into the Lord’s arms on July 8th, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Marcie went peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Marcie was born on Sept. 15, 1954 in Seattle, WA to Norris and Janet Taylor. She graduated from Inglemoore High School in 1972, and attended Shoreline Community College where she studied nutrition and used her education in Massachusetts where she worked as an aid in dietetics at Cardinal Cushing Hospital.
Marcie followed her heart to Hawaii where she spent two years living her dreams on the islands. She later joined the NOAA fleet, sailing throughout Alaska where she met and married Lester Warren. They eventually settled in Grants Pass.
Marcie was the devoted mother of two children, Bryan and Brittany Warren, both of Grants Pass. Marcie worked at Baldini’s restaurant in Merlin for the past nine years, and loved every minute of it. Baldini’s is also where she met Gary Tressler, her future husband. They married in September of 2010 and have continued to reside in Grants Pass.
She was always full of energy and never let a single dull moment pass by. Marcie had such a strong notion of the woman she was and what she wanted from life, that no obstacle was big enough to deter her from accomplishing her goals. Her fun-loving nature drew people to her and a great time was always to be had in her company.
Marcie’s favorite place to be was on the beach. It brought her peace and contentment, and she could spend hours walking the sands. She had a special place in her heart for Hawaii and always considered it to be her paradise. She loved the sunshine and spent many hours in her garden. She always loved cooking for her family and friends and thrived when she was surrounded by those she loved.
Our family will never be the same without our sweet Marcie. She had such an unforgettable, vibrant, spunky personality and will never be forgotten by anyone who has ever known her.
