Marbine Williams, age 86, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Merlin Ward.
On July 2, 1933 in Pacific, Missouri, Marbine was born to Boyd Urby Holifield and Berta Gale (Akers). As a child, Marbine traveled with her family as her father worked in many locations.
On November 21, 1953 in Sparks NV, she married Robert Lee Williams Sr. and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple in August 1982.
From the early 70s to the late 80s, Marbine worked for Southern Oregon State Bank (later Bank of America) as a teller until she was promoted to the safe deposit desk. Her greatest joy was making a beautiful home for her husband and family.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Merlin Ward; Marbine will be fondly remembered for her callings as Primary President and as Ward Librarian.
Marbine's interests included Square Dancing with her husband and children, and she was an accomplished homeopathic herbalist.
Survivors include her husband Robert “Bob” Williams Sr. of Grants Pass, son Robert “Rob” Williams Jr. of Grayland WA, daughter Cindy Webb of Sunnyvale CA, three sisters Jean, Kathleen “Kitty” and Martha, six grandchildren and one great grandson.
Marbine is preceded in death by two brothers.
