Mamie Kelly

Mamie Cecilia Kelly, age 79, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at her home.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at Hull & Hull Chapel with Bishop Chris Sorensen officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Mamie Cecilia Paddock on October 5, 1929 in Leadville, Colorado to Ralph and Josie (Evans) Paddock, and graduated from the Leadville High School. In 1946 in Garden City, Kansas she married Charles Harrison Kelly who preceded her in death. She moved to Grants Pass 47 years ago from San Bernardino, California.

Mamie was a member of the Lady Eagles and Moose Lodge.

Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, and league bowling.

Survivors include four sons, Charles Kelly of Las Vegas, Nevada; Roy Kelly of Grants Pass, Ace Kelly of Grants Pass, and Bill Kelly of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Alice Evans of Grants Pass, and Jackie VanHorne of Portland; one foster daughter, Karla Rogers of Grants Pass; one brother, Harold Horne of Denver, Colorado; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael Kelly in 1974, and Joseph 'Joey' Kelly in 1983.
