Magdalena Meta "Marge" Long

Magdalena Meta “Marge” Long, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Royale Gardens Health &Rehabilitation Center.

Family services were held. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Marge was born on July 5, 1920 in George, Iowa to John & Bertha Ahders. On May 8, 1940 in South Sioux City, Nebraska, she married Cecil Long. In 1999, she moved from Arkansas to Grants Pass.

She enjoyed traveling in her motor home, family activities, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visiting with her friends in the Circle Tree Mobile Home Park.

Survivors include her two sons, Stan Long of Grants Pass and Steven Long of Rushmore, Minnesota; three sisters, Gertrude Freese of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Gloria Prins of George, Iowa and Dorothy Bosch of Rock Rapids, Iowa; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Long; two sons who died in the 1940’s and a granddaughter, Jessica Reeg.
