Madeline Madge Prue Howard, age 91, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home.
A graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Madeline was born November 30, 1920 in Clinton, Nebraska to Joseph & Goldie “DeeDee” Prue. In 1942 she moved from Mishawaka, Indiana to Grants Pass. For several years, she was office manager and sales manager of a local lumber manufacturing firm. Later she became a licensed tax consultant and worked in that field for many years.
She was a member of Josephine Chapter No. 26 Order of Eastern Star, Zuleima Temple No. 13 Daughters of the Nile, Ladies of the Elks, Grants Pass Duplicate Bridge Club, Brunch Bridge Club, Oregon Society of Tax Consultants, Rogue Area Computer Club, and Rogue Area Senior Computer Assistance League.
For over thirty years she and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Gypsy Square Dance Club. She was an amateur radio operator. She also enjoyed playing bridge, camping, fishing and working on her computer.
In addition to her husband, Joseph H. Howard, whom she married September 18, 1953; survivors include two sons, Steve and Leon and wife Cyndi; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
