Mace McWilliams

Mace J. McWilliams age 61, of Grants Pass, died April 27, 2024 in Grants Pass.

 

Mace was born to parents “Skip” McWilliams and Pati Stertman on March 2, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1979 He moved from Red Bluff, California to Grants Pass, Oregon. 

 

Mace managed Black Bar Lodge on the Rogue River for many years. During the off-season he loved to travel. Mace was a blessing and friend to anybody he met. Everyone he knew loved him and he loved all of them. He was absolutely selfless; always putting others first. He helped raise his niece, nephew, and great nephew. Mace meant the world to his family and enjoyed many family trips. Mace spent his last moments doing what he loved with the people he loved. 

 

Mace enjoyed going to the ocean, traveling with family, hiking, falling asleep during movies, cooking, playing sports with his nieces and nephews, and spending time with his family. 

 

He is preceded in death by his brother and close friend Morgan McWilliams; and parents Pati Stertman and Skip McWilliams. 

 

Mace is survived by Devon Thill and Andrea Rojas, two of the children he helped raise; sisters Mindy Berry and Kim Williams; brother Barclay McWilliams and former spouse Jamie Cummings. 

 

He will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him. The angel known as Uncle Mace finally got his wings!
