Luther Anderson Nation, 89 of Grants Pass, died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at home.
He was born on January 8, 1930 in Springfield, Illinois. On September 3, 1949 in Springfield, Illinois he married his wife Ethel, who preceded him in death in 2005.
He moved to Grants Pass in 1988 after his retirement from Rohr Industries of over 30 years. He has been a member of the First Christian Church for the Past 16 years.
Besides the love for his family he was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed football and baseball. He was a well loved little league coach and manager for many years.
Survivors include his three sons, Luther Nation of Casa Grande, Arizona; Charles Nation of Grants Pass; Terry Nation of Grants Pass; his daughter, Nancy Pipitone of Grants Pass; 1 sister, Gertrude Branham of Lone Jack, Missouri, 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., March 22, 2019 at First Christian Church in Grants Pass. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., March 22, 2019 at First Christian Church with Dr. Gregory K. Widener officiating. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
