Loy Dene Cleek

Loy Dene Cleek, 74, of Grants Pass, died February 24, 2025 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Loy Dene was born January 1st, 1951 in Fillmore, Utah, where she lived until starting high school. During her high school years, she moved to San Diego, CA, where she graduated from El Cajon Valley High School. In July of 1968, she married Jon Cleek in El Cajon, CA.

Loy Dene moved to Oregon in 2001 where she lived for a time before relocating to Tennessee. In 2008, she returned to Oregon where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Prior to her retirement, Loy Dene enjoyed several professions, including a waitress, an office manager, and part-owner of a housekeeping business.

Loy Dene enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and watching cooking shows with her grandkids. She also enjoyed watching General Hospital, going to movies and restaurants, drinking wine, and spending time with her sister and daughters.

Loy Dene is survived by her daughters, Pleashette Cleek and Dion Micki Cleek of Grants Pass, sisters Micki England, Dawn Brown, and Mardy Fisher, brother Kelly Hatch, and three grandchildren: Asher Durrill, Noah Durrill, and Bailea Durrill.

She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Marvin Hatch, mother Mayne Nell Guest, and brother Marvin Hatch.
