Louise (Isham) Mason

Louise (Isham) Mason, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Calvary Crossroads with Pastor Lowell Anderson officiating. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

She was Born on May 23, 1928 in Grants Pass to Harvey & Elsie Isham. Upon graduating high school, she married William “Bill” E. Mason, of Dardanelle, Arkansas on December 23, 1945 in Dardanelle. They were foster parents for twenty years caring for over 260 children.

She was a member of Calvary Crossroads Baptist Church.

Her hobbies included quilting, needle working and cake decorating.

Survivors include a daughter, Neta Beaman of Madras; two sons, Dennis Mason of Butler, Tennessee and James Mason of Grants Pass; a brother, Harvey “Bob” R. Isham; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William “Bill” E. Mason and a brother, Waldon “Wally” Eugene Isham.
