Lora Denise Holmes

Lora Denise Holmes, age 49, of Cave Junction, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home.

Lora was born February 27, 1963 in San Diego, California. In 1981 in Big Bear, California she married Keith Holmes and they recently celebrated 30 beautiful years together. In 1995 she moved from Oceanside, California to Cave Junction.

Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and spending time with her children and granddaughter, Gwendolynn Aria.

Her children were her life and she loved nothing more than the chaos of a full house. A woman with a huge heart, she would help anyone she could.

She will be deeply missed by many, and wanted all who knew her to know you were appreciated and that your friendship meant so much. She always said, “I am so blessed with family. I believe in random acts of kindness and miracles.” She managed to instill this in her children.

We love you, Mom, and will proudly continue to be your miracles.

In addition to her husband, Keith Holmes of Cave Junction, Oregon; she is survived by five children, Jasmine Holmes of Cave Junction, Oregon, Fleur Holmes of Millsboro, Delaware, Roxi Holmes of Sitka, Alaska, Keith Holmes Jr and Ian Holmes both of Cave Junction, Oregon; her mother, Judy Ely of San Diego, California ; a sister, Cynthia Stangl of Sitka, Alaska; a brother, Bob Ely of San Diego, California; and a granddaughter, Gwendolynn Aria of Millsboro, Delaware and Cave Junction, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Gaillac.
