Lois Rotruck was born on December 31, 1936, in Rockwall, Texas. On December the 7th, 2024, Lois passed away at Three Rivers Asante Hospital.
Lois was the final member of her family to pass away. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rotruck and uncle Ernest Piper. She was raised in Rockwall, Texas, by her grandparents. She had three aunts and two uncles she viewed as siblings.
After 12 years in Texas, she moved to Utah. From there she moved with her mother and step-father to Baldwin Park, California. She graduated from Baldwin Park High School and attended UCLA for a two-year degree in finance/banking.
Thereafter, Lois worked in the banking industry for 30 years. It was during this time that she met her husband, James Rotruck. They both worked in the same banking institution. She retired from Bank of America as a branch manager. After retiring, she and Jim moved to Grants Pass, Oregon.
Throughout Lois' life, she traveled extensively. She and Jim toured Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica numerous times. They drove across the United States several times seeing most of the National Parks and stopping off to visit small interesting sites along the way. She continued her travels later in life with several dear friends.
Lois was a traveler and an avid reader. She was an active member of the Merlin Community Baptist Church, Pacemakers, Asante Auxiliary, and a supporter of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Lois is missed by all who had the pleasure of her company. She leaves behind several families that list her as 'one of their own': The McLoughlin, Dean, Blydenberg, and the Davey families.
