Linda Sue West

Linda Sue West, age 74, of Grants Pass passed away Jan. 16, 2020.

A service will not be held, but rather a celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday September 26, 2020 at Hull & Hull Chapel.

Linda Sue West was born in Maywood, California, to Mabel and Henry Longwill on Jan. 27, 1945. She was raised and graduated from high school in Hemet, California. She graduated from Chaffee College. Sue was an accountant her entire working career. She rose from small business accounting to vice president to chief financial officer at several firms during her career.

On July 27, 1968, Sue married Larry J. West and together lived in Orange County in Southern California until moving to Grants Pass in 2005 to retire.

Sue and Larry traveled the world on motorcycle excursions throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. They also traveled and vacationed internationally to other exciting destinations on tours and ships.

Sue was a volunteer at Wildlife Images for 12 years. Clearly, she was a lover of animals and was even awarded the Oregon State Wolf Walker and Tourism award by Governor Kitzhaber. She also volunteered at Shelter Friends for the County Animal Shelter. Larry and Sue had two Australian shepherd dogs and competed at agility competitions for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Larry.
