Linda L. Fortino

Linda L. Fortino, age 70, of Grants Pass, died January 9, 2015 at her home of cancer.

She was born December 8, 1944 in French Camp, California to Blanche Jones & Neal Shumaker. She raised two children, Kimberly and Todd. In 1992 she moved from Atascadero, California to Grants Pass.

Her hobbies included remodeling and decorating homes, gardening, cooking, collecting, antiquing, and jewelry repair. She loved spending time with her family.

Since 2011, Linda donated each year to St. Jude’s, a Christian children’s fund, and to homeless organizations.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, William Fortino; six children, Kimberly Weadock, Todd Fortino, William Fortino Jr, Jenny Cantrel, Maryanne Flannagan, Theresa Ippolitti; three sisters, Judith DeCuir, Eleanor Andrews, and Cathy Douglas; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

A viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Hull & Hull Chapel.
