Lilly May Straw

Lilly Straw was born to Amy and Gibson Harris on July 3, 1937 in Wayne County, Illinois in a small cabin on her family property. She passed away on July 17, 2023 in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Lilly spent most of her life residing in southern Illinois and spent her later years with her family in California and southern Oregon. 

Lilly worked as an assembly line worker at Champion Labs in Albion, IL for 32 years.

Throughout her life she was dedicated to her family. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed hunting and camping. She loved to cook and crochet. She and her husband George also had their own food truck for many years. 

Lilly Straw was preceded to heaven by her mother Amy Harris, her father Gibson Harris, her brother Jr Harris, and her beloved husband of 25 years George Straw.  

She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Julie and Rodger Coale, her granddaughter Amy Solis and husband Reev, and her granddaughter Jackie and husband Josh Walker. She also leaves behind four grandchildren Anna, Coale, Kaira, and Chloe Walker. 

Lilly was a pillar in her family. She lit up whenever she saw her grandchildren. She loved nature and she was strong in her faith in Jesus Christ. We find comfort knowing she is sitting at the throne of God. Although she has left her earthly body, she is now renewed and we will meet again in heaven.
