Lillian passed away at Fairview Transitional Health Center,December 19, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1360 NE 9th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon.
Lillian was born to Charles and Edythe Jeys in Manila, Philippines,on May 12, 1929, where they were missionaries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was their first daughter.
Lillian grew up in the Loma Linda, California area where she and her younger sister Betty attended school. It was there that her talent for playing the piano was nurtured. She was trained as a concert pianist under some of the best teachers in Southern California.
She married Alvin Reiswig on August 8, 1948, in Loma Linda, California, and moved to Eureka, Calfornia. While there, Lillian gave birth to a daughter, Portia, on December 13, 1949. She was a Mom, a homemaker and piano teacher. In 1958 they moved to
Grass Valley, California, where they lived until 2002 when they moved to Grants Pass, Oregon to be closer to their daughter and family.
Lillian was a life long member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and was always involved in music. She was the church pianist and taught music at Echo Ridge SDA Elementary School in Grass Valley for many years. She also sang in various choral groups and choirs.
Lillian loved home! She loved being a mother and a grandmother. She was an accomplished gardener and photographer and she took great delight in her large doll collection.
In June of 2002 she had a severe stroke and was an invalid residing in Fairview Transitional Health Care, until her death.
She is survived by her husband Alvin, who is a retired medical laboratory technician; her sister Betty Hulsey of Redding, California; her daughter and husband Portia and Peter Neff of Grants Pass Oregon; 2 grandchildren Shane Theriault of Maui and Cori Dennhardt and her husband Randy of Chico, California; and 2 great grandchildren, Kylie and Connor Dennhardt, also of Chico, California.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church at a later date to be announced.
While residing in Fairview Transitional Health Care, She spent her days watching Better Life TV. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Better Life TV are requested.
Lillian's family would like to thank her doctor and all those who have cared for her over the years. They all did their best to make her life as pleasant as possible.
