Lillian Baida, 94, died April 22, 2015. She was born Lillian Halaby on February 20, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY.
On June 14, 1941, she married George Baida and moved to Southern California where they lived until 1979 when they relocated to Grants Pass, OR.
Lillian was a member of the Jerome Prairie Extension Club and a neighborhood knitting club. She loved to cook and entertain and spend time with her family. She was current on world events, politics and the stock market, but her greatest joy was welcoming friends and family into her home.
Lillian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her 3 children, Leona Talley of Sonoma, CA, Fred Baida of Grants Pass, OR, and Carol Zampell of Peachtree City, GA; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George.
A memorial service will be held at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 224 NW D Street, Grants Pass on Tuesday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. with Hull & Hull Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
