Today the world is a colder place. The warmth and love that is Leta Briggs has gone from this world to her heavenly resting place to be with her beloved Lord and Savior. Leta passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Leta Briggs, was born February 22, 1920 in Atwood, Oklahoma to Hiram Clinton and Joan South Stallings.
During the great depression, her farm family migrated to Ojai, California where she attended school and grew to become a beautiful young woman.
During World War II, Leta met and married Henry Briggs, a navy petty officer. She gave birth to two daughters and lived and worked in Ojai for 65 years.
Leta is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Diane and Ken Thompson and Marlene and Dennis Kelley of Grants Pass, Oregon and the light of her life, her grandson Scott Kelley and his wife Samantha of Woodland Park, Colorado, whom she tirelessly helped guide on his path to honorable manhood. Also, brother Jack and wife Evelyn of Eastport, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you, Mother, for all you have given to us for so long. Thank you God for lending an angel to help guide us. She has done her work well. Please welcome her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 12, 2007 at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, California. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
