Leonard M. Coleman, age 82, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his home.
No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Leonard was born September 15, 1930 in Kelso, Washington to Leonard Hamilton Coleman & Caroline Eulalie Coleman. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1949. From December 8, 1950 to December 7, 1960 he served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Pacific Bell in 1989 and moved to Wolf Creek, Oregon. In 2007 he moved from Wolf Creek to Grants Pass.
Leonard was active in the Wolf Creek Fire Department, Oregon Civil Air Patrol, Rascal Computer Club and Southern Oregon Radio Club.
He enjoyed his Tuesday breakfast meetings at the Powderhorn Caf with the delightful waitresses and radio friends, especially his good friend, Brian Fritsen.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella Coleman of Grants Pass, Oregon; his children, Debbie King (Kelly) of Bakersfield, California, James H. Coleman (Rayne) of Marina, California; stepsons, Michael Ingram-Stahl (Zandra) of Granbury, Texas and David Stahl of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sam of Winlock, Washington, Larry of Shelton, Washington, and Dale of Kelso, Washington; and a sister, Velda Kay Hart of Tacoma, Washington.
