Leonard “Blaine” B. Laing, 76, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Gregory Moys officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

He was born on October 20, 1930 in Los Angeles, California. He served in the U S Navy during the Korean War and was a dental technician 2nd class. He was discharged on March 28, 1957. On June 14, 1963 in Los Angeles, California, he married the former Mary Dolores Acosta, who survives. From 1972 to 1995 he lived in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, where he worked as an executive in the distribution of auto parts.
He was a member of the Traffic Managers Association and the Haiku Community Association. He also volunteered for the A.Y.S.O. Soccer club in Hawaii where he coached his children.
He enjoyed racing motorcycles and building them. He also enjoyed nature walks, and fresh water fishing.
In addition to his wife, Mary D. Laing of Grants Pass; survivors include his two daughters, LeeAnn Stone of Santa Ana, California; and Roseanne Butler of Grants Pass; three sons, Bill Laing of Boulder, Colorado; David Laing of Orange County, California; and Roger Laing of Grants Pass; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alfred Blaine Laing in 2004.
