Leo D. Wells, age 58, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Whiskey Creek on the Rogue River. Please meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Grave Creek Bridge boat landing to follow. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Leo was born September 16, 1954 in Grants Pass, Oregon. He grew up in Grants Pass and graduated from Grants Pass High School. After high school he traveled the Northwest. He then met Jeanne Jozovich and they were married on March 27, 1983 in Anaconda, Montana. Shortly thereafter he returned to Oregon where he was a mushroom buyer and picker since 1984.
Leo especially enjoyed spending time in the woods including hunting, trapping, mining, and mushroom picking.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Wells of Butte, Montana; two daughters, Naomi Jozovich of Boulder, Colorado and Daniella Bivens of Grants Pass, Oregon; a son, Brandon Wells of Scappoose, Washington; his mother, Barbara Silverthorn of Phoenix, Oregon; two sisters, Sally and Cindy; a brother, Ralph; and four granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wells.
