Larry passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters after a diagnosis of advanced terminal cancer. He was originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Del Valle High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served aboard the submarine, USS Snook, and other surface ships, during the Vietnam War as a radio operator from 1967-1971. He worked in sales most of his life, but later decided to be a long-haul truck driver, which was his true calling. After retiring, he and his wife, Carol, moved to Glendale, Oregon in 2016, to be closer to their daughters in California. He loved woodworking and remodeling, and would spend his days working on the house. When he wasn’t building, he loved to relax with his dogs, Sasha, Josie, and Dixie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Jean (Guay) White. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Carpenter); his daughter, Andrea (White) Mize and her husband, Jared, and their three children, Hayden, Linken, and Jaxon Mize; his daughter by choice, Amber (Walker) Turing and her husband, Foone; his brother, William White and wife Sharon (Mitchell), who he loved like a sister, and their children, Brian White (Danielle) and James White (Mary); his sister, Anne (White) Heppner and her children, Brett Heppner (Torri), Zachary Heppner (Whitney), and Kelly (Heppner) Ward (Charlie); and many great nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends that he loved dearly.
