Wow! What a ride...What a life! On February 2,1946, the sun rose for me in Coldwater, MI. I never imagined that life could be so wonderful. I was truly blessed with an amazing family, wonderful friends, and soul mate. For all those who don't believe in soul mates, just take a look at my husband. In November '1970, I married my very best friend. ..Bob. We raised our three kids, Bobby, Kelly, and Tami right here in Grants Pass. Later came more joy, as we were further blessed with nine beautiful grandkids, who I truly adored. I absolutely loved life...my family, my friends, my dogs, and even those chickens. If you don't know the story of the chickens, please ask Bob at my party. It's worth it. I cherished the travel that Bob & I shared. I will forever treasure the friends that we met along the way, especially my extended Acapulco family. I loved shopping with my kids, and hanging out with my girl friends. And how I loved laughing & being silly with my grandkids. What a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed decorating my yard for every occasion, on a very large scale. I loved everything that represented our beautiful country, and have a deep respect for our military. I always made time for Brett Favre, no matter who he played for. I loved my Oregon Ducks! I loved golfing with my 9 hole girlfriends; they are the best. In short, I loved life and everyone that touched it. And though I appeared small in stature and quietly unassuming, I was a tower of strength, with a huge heart & a wealth of compassion that is never ending. I always had a great sense of humor; I had to...look who I'm married to. I laughed easily, hugged warmly, listened intently, and loved unconditionally. I want to sincerely thank all of my caretakers for putting up with my fierce independence and staying by my side while I kept up the fight to the very end. To those of you who are continuing to fight with ALS God Bless You and your loved ones.
On Wednesday May 4,2011, the sun set on my earthly life. Now, I am in Heaven. I have always been a huge fan of big parties, so... on Sunday May 22nd, at 3 PM, I am having a party for all my Friends & Family in the pavilion at the Grants Pass Golf Club. There will be good eats & plenty to drink...all compliments of 'Me', the guest of honor. And though I will not be there in body, I will be there in spirit. I hope you all have fun!
Love, Kitty
