Kim Davis, age 76, of Grants Pass, died November 2, 2024 at her home.
Kim was born August 23, 1948 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to William & Joyce Kelly. The daughter of a Marine Corps officer, she lived in many places including North Carolina, Florida, Utah, and San Diego. She graduated from Hoover High School and attended community college both in San Diego. In 1980 she and her sister moved from San Diego to Grants Pass to be closer to her parents who retired here. Upon arriving in Grants Pass, she went to work for the law office of Calvert & Davis. On December 12, 1981 she married her boss, Jack Davis.
Kim was a member of the Grants Pass Golf Club for 35 years and a member of Edgewater Christian Fellowship.
Kim volunteered as a mentor for students at Highland Elementary School and North Middle School; with CASA helping kids in foster care; at the St. Vincent DePaul soup kitchen and was a board member of Joe’s Place (a Christian outreach program for teens).
Kim loved golf and competed and won tournaments around Southern Oregon. She especially loved playing golf with her husband Jack and her two children Geoff and Kaite.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Jack Davis of Grants Pass; son Geoff (Shanna) Davis of Eugene; sister Debbie Vance of San Diego, California; and grandson Jonathan Davis (age 12).
Kim was preceded in death by her daughter Kaite Davis in 2001; brother Bob Kelly; and her parents Bill and Joyce Kelly.
