Kevin Lee Summers

Kevin Lee Summers, age 59, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at VA Roseburg Health Care System.

Family services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Kevin was born April 19, 1954 in Lodi, California to Oscar B. Summers & Bobby Lynn (Summers) Fisher. He grew up in Elk Grove, California. He married Anita Marcaelli in 1973, while he served in the U.S. Army as a radio technician and in 1979 they divorced. While riding his bike in 1982 he was hit by a drunken driver, that lead to his declining health. In spite of this, he worked many years as a carpenter for general contractors and did volunteer work. In 1989 Jane Waller his second wife preceded him in death. He was especially close to his niece Ashton and nephews Jarred and Colton Summers because he lived on their property so long.

Survivors include his mother, Bobby L. Fisher and step-father Donald Fisher of Grants Pass; brothers, Rick Summers and wife Annette of California, Tim Summers and wife Betty of La Pine, Oregon, Collin Summers of Merlin, Oregon and Russell Fisher of Rancho Cordova, California. Additional Nieces and Nephews include Blake Summers, Jamie Seymour, Jerry Lin McCormack, Lottie White, Shane Summers, Matt and Dion Swaney.

He was blessed to be surrounded in love by relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his father, Oscar Summers and sister, Cheryl Lynn Summers McCormack.

He left relatives and friends surrounded by love.
