Kevin Kelly Campbell

Kevin Kelly Campbell, age 47, of Grants Pass, died in his sleep Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his childhood home.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Fruitdale Grange.

Kevin was born December 19, 1964 in Grants Pass to Glenn & Anna Campbell. He attended Fruitdale Elementary School, Lincoln Savage Middle School, and Hidden Valley High School. He played the trombone in band and as a student at Hidden Valley High School traveled to Germany and four other European countries with his German class. After graduating, he attended the University of Oregon in Eugene and participated in the R.O.T.C. program. He was employed by the City of Eugene as a gardener at Hendrick’s Rhododendron Park and at the Eugene Rose Garden. He loved plants and flowers. Orchids were his favorite flowers to grow. He later moved to Portland and loved the many parks in and around Portland.

Kevin was a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. In his early years, he enjoyed being a member of Boy Scout Troop #22.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn “Curly” and Anna Campbell; and two sisters, Lynette Gaines and Karen McGuire.
