Kelly P. “Spanky” Lorimer Sr., age 59, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Rogue Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service has been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Kelly was born July 25, 1954 in Lodi, California to Juanita & Loren Lorimer. He was the middle child of five children. There were three brothers, Oden Lorimer, Terry Lorimer and Laury Lorimer and one sister, Ginger Lorimer Byers. They all grew up on a little farm in Acampo, California. Kelly’s grandmother, Grandma Lindsey also called Cookie Grandma helped to raise Kelly and was his rock growing up. He attended Lodi High School where he met Sharon Henslee. In 1972 they married and had four children, two girls and two boys, Becky Anderson, Kelly P. Lorimer Jr, Stephanie Y. Bates and Paul W. Lorimer. Kelly worked several jobs since he was very young. He loved all his jobs until he found his passion, commercially driving truck. For 20 years he drove truck while enjoying the countryside and big cities. On June 22, 1985 in Lake Tahoe, California, Kelly & Donna Horst were married. They were married 28 beautiful years. They brought two more children to this marriage, Erin M. Lorimer Arellanes and Jack L. Lorimer. With that came 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He loved all his family so much. He taught all the grandchildren to pray to God before every meal. Kelly lived in Vancouver, Washington, Lodi California and Valley Springs, California before moving to Grants Pass in 2010.
He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and the YMCA.
His hobbies included train sets, flying helicopters, camping, fishing, gold panning and meeting new people on the street.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a sister, Ginger Lorimer Byers; two brothers, Oden Lorimer and Terry Lorimer; and his former wife Sharon.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Laury Lorimer.
