Karen Sue Fader, age 81, of Medford, OR, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, after complications from hip surgery. Our beloved mom, sister, grandma, sorority sister, and best friend is now with our heavenly father.
Karen was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1963, and earned the “Golden Circle” achievement for being an active member for over fifty years. She was the current Vice-President of the Medford Chapter of her sorority. Karen loved spending time with her family, friends, being at the beach, reading, volunteering, and spending time with her sorority sisters. Karen worked in the medical field as a physician credential specialist until her retirement in 2005, when she returned to the Medford area.
Karen is survived by her brother, Richard M. Henderson of Medford, OR; her children, Becki (Darrell) Zwiefelhofer of Roseburg, OR, Angela (Scott) Hoernke of Clifton, VA; grandchildren, Jason Hoernke, Ciara Hoernke, Andy Zwiefelhofer, Corey Zwiefelhofer; great grandchildren, Alison Zwiefelhofer, and Mia Zwiefelhofer. Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene D. Henderson; her father, John C. Henderson Sr.; and brother, John C. (Kit) Henderson II.
A celebration of Karen’s life and interment will be held in July 2021, in Medford Oregon.
