Karen Ren Doppelmayr left our world peacefully on April 29th in Roseburg, Oregon at the age of 58, after a long and courageous battle with her health. Surrounded by her three loving daughters and grandson, the love of her life, when she made her final journey to join her late husband, Robert, parents – James and Nora Jean Moore, sister – Mary Margaret, mother-in-law – Liz Benuzzi, and several other family members and friends; what an amazing homecoming it must have been. We know, without any doubt, her beloved doxie “Rufus” was there waiting at the gates of Heaven for a long overdue walk with his Momma.
Karen was born on August 16th, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, and eventually came to reside in Grants Pass, where she put down roots and raised her family. She was an extraordinarily gifted beautician until retirement at which point she took a break to raise her children. Later in life, she returned to school and graduated from RCC with a degree in Human Services.
She was an amazing woman who was admired for her strength, love, and compassion by every life that she touched. Karen is survived by her daughters, Sarah Marie, Shelley Ann (Matt), and Jamie Lyn, her grandson, Conner Robert, sister – Rebecca (John), brother – Rick (Cathy), sister-in-law – Joy (Lloyd), brothers-in-law – Dwayne (Theresa) & Kevin, and nieces and nephews – Landon, Kylee, Alicia, Ed, Grace, Patrick, Janell, Jennifer & Brittany, and other extended family.
She will be forever missed, but never forgotten by those who had the privilege to know and love her. Services will be held at sunset on the evening of May 6th, 2015, in Bandon, Oregon. Knowing she is in the arms or her family and Lord brings peace to the hearts of those she’s left behind. Sleep with the Angels, Momma, we love you to the moon and back.
