June Marie Linden

June Marie Linden, age 84, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at her home.

A service was held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

She was born June Marie Marks on June 17, 1930 in Scalp Level, Pennsylvania to John and Alberta (Younker) Marks. While in her teens the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. June went to work in Elyria, Ohio and many years later moved to Grants Pass in 2007. She was raised Catholic and provided Catholic schooling for her children.

June enjoyed playing Bingo, working puzzles, watching The Price Is Right, cheering for the Pittsburg Steelers football team, and she really enjoyed cooking and baking. She especially loved family time.

June was a wonderful sweet person. She cared for and loved her family very much. She raised three great kids on her own and continued to care for them until her last days, when her children were given the opportunity to care for her. Her family are all honored to have known her, and to be touched by such a generous person. June was known for putting her own needs last. Her generosity was demonstrated by her willingness to feed the hungry even when she was herself hungry, and pay rather than letting others pay. June will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and all who came to know her.

June is survived by three children, Paul William Linden of Fort Bragg, California, Christine Marie Ornelas (and her husband, Robert) of Grants Pass, and Roger Allen Linden of Grants Pass; two brothers, John Marks of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Don Marks of Medina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Paul’s son, Keith; Christine and Robert’s children, Donald Robinson, Candy Marie Yandell (and her husband, Todd), Sean Ornelas and Tyler Ornelas; and June’s great granddaughter, Bailee Marie Yandell.
