June Ione Merrill

June Ione Merrill, age 91, of Medford, died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at her home.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 1969 Williams Highway, Grants Pass with Bishop Lynden Woolley officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born June Ione Will June 25, 1916 in Los Angeles, California to Leroy & Blanche Marie (Palmer) Will, the oldest of three daughters. On October 1, 1939 in Roscoe, California she married Lynn W. Merrill. They lived in California, Arizona, and Oregon.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Medford First Ward and formerly of Grants Pass Third Ward.

Homemaking and cooking were her greatest joys. She had a passion for professional baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves and Seattle Mariners and watching the World Series.

In addition to her husband, Lynn W. Merrill of Medford; she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda & Fred Lisonbee of Ashland; two granddaughters, Melissa Lisonbee of Salt Lake City, Utah and Melina Lisonbee of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Helen Adams of Fruita, Colorado and Marie Tuffs of Redding, California; a niece and three nephews.
