Judyth A. "Judy" Pyle

Judyth A. “Judy” Pyle, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her home.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Judy was born January 1, 1940 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Allen Andy & Edna Viola (Brown) Kuykendall. In 1941 the family moved from Klamath Falls to Grants Pass. She grew up in Grants Pass and attended Grants Pass High School. She married Bill Pyle and they later divorced. Judy worked for the State of Oregon, Department of Children’s Services, for 32 years, retiring in 2004. After retirement she enjoyed travelling to Alaska, New Orleans, New York City, Italy, Costa Rica and Hawaii.

Judy was a 40 year member of the Eagles Lodge, Rascals Computer Club, Josephine County Historical Society and class luncheons with former classmates.

Her hobbies included fishing, rock hounding, archery and she was an exceptional cook. Judy loved all animals, especially cats.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Toothman of Merlin, Oregon; a sister, Nita Hamblin of Salem, Oregon and a brother, Ed Kuykendall of Gresham, Oregon.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Allen & Edna Kuykendall; a son, Billy P. Pyle and a brother, Glen Kuykendall.
