Judy Hubbard

Judy Hubbard, age 97, of Grants Pass, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Julia Josephine Stout on August 29, 1916 in Yakima, Washington to John & Lillian (Khuns) Stout. She attended schools and beauty school in Los Angeles, California. In 1936 in Los Angeles she married William Arthur Hubbard. In 1946 she moved from Los Angeles to Grants Pass and during the 1950s and 1960s she worked as a nutrition aide at Josephine Memorial Hospital. After her retirement, she enjoyed homemaking.

Judy was part of the original membership at Shan Creek Church and was active with the women’s organization and children’s school and scouting activities.

Her hobbies included gardening and sewing, including sewing her family’s clothing.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Hubbard of Glendale, Oregon and John Hubbard of Cave Junction, Oregon; a sister, Jane Kading of Orem, Utah (who just celebrated her 100th Birthday); eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Todd Hubbard.
